What to expect when you have a dental appointment

Prior to your appointment

We are screening all patients (either by text or email) prior to appointments being booked or confirmed. You will be asked to reschedule your appointment for a later date if you are having symptoms of COVID-19. Please do not come to the office if you are experiencing symptoms.

Patients will receive a COVID screening text or email from our office the day before your appointment. Please answer the questions before coming in.

Please note that masks are still mandatory in our office.

Day of your appointment:

We ask that you wear a mask when you enter our office until you are instructed to remove it. If you do not have one, we will provide you with one. Once you are at our door please use the hand sanitizer provided. We will then have you complete a screening form and instruct you to wait until you are called. Please do not bring any additional people with you to your appointments unless absolutely necessary. Please do not come more than 5 minutes early to your appointment.

Please DO NOT come to the office if you have a fever or any symptoms of COVID-19. You will not be seen if this is the case and will be asked to reschedule.

Your appointment

We are following all RSCSO and public health guidelines to keep our patients and staff safe. You will notice we will be wearing additional protective equipment. This may include face shields, gowns and head covers. You will be asked to rinse with a preprocedural rinse prior to treatment starting. We are limiting the use of aerosols during appointments where possible. All operatory doors will be closed during procedures. After each patient, all surfaces of the treatment room will be disinfected and the room will be left empty for 15 minutes according to RCDSO standards and our measured operatory fallow time. We have installed HEPA filters in all treatment rooms and throughout the waiting area and other office areas.

After your appointment

When your appointment is complete you will be asked to sanitize your hands and put your mask back on prior to leaving the treatment room. You will then be asked to go to the front desk to complete your billing. The front desk area will be wiped down after each patient is seen. If you develop any symptoms of COVID-19 or are tested in the 14 days after your appointment in our office you must inform us immediately.

We ask for your patience during this time. We will be allowing more time for every patient so it may take longer than usual to get an appointment. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.
